This page outlines how we engage our stakeholders, what we aim to achieve, and how the SCIANCE project feeds into the RAISE initiative for sustained collaboration.
SCIANCE engagement is two-way: stakeholders don’t just receive information, but they actively contribute, co-create outputs, and help define priorities. Engagement is structured around seven pillars of the Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for AI in Science.
By aligning stakeholders to these pillars, SCIANCE ensures that every perspective contributes directly to shaping research priorities, infrastructure, governance, and implementation strategies for AI in Science.
Stakeholder input will help identify the most transformative scientific domains and emerging research approaches where AI can accelerate discovery.
Contributions will guide the creation of AI-ready, reusable, and openly accessible scientific knowledge, ensuring FAIR principles are embedded across disciplines.
Feedback will shape the design and scaling of AI infrastructure, highlighting requirements for compute, storage, data spaces, and interoperability across European research facilities.
Engagement will inform standards for trustworthy AI, helping to establish reproducibility protocols, validation methods, and transparent research practices.
Stakeholders will provide input on ethical frameworks, legal compliance, data stewardship, and sustainable governance models for AI in Science.
Contributions will identify training needs, support interdisciplinary collaboration, and recommend incentives that enable researchers and institutions to adopt AI responsibly.
Input will help define pathways for translating AI-enabled research into industrial applications, societal impact, and competitive advantage for Europe.
Participate in thematic groups that focus on specific SRIA pillars, co-develop outputs, validate recommendations, and help build an ongoing community of AI in Science experts.
Join targeted workshops and consultations to provide deep technical or domain-specific input, co-design AI infrastructure, and guide strategic recommendations.
Collaborate in multi-stakeholder workshops to share expertise, provide feedback on draft SRIA sections, and jointly develop tools, services, or roadmaps.
Offer input remotely via surveys, interviews, or written feedback to ensure broad representation and capture diverse perspectives.
