The SCIANCE consortium brings together leading scientific organisations, AI research centres, digital infrastructure providers, and policy experts to strengthen Europe’s AI in Science ecosystem.
Combining disciplinary excellence across five pilot domains with state-of-the-art AI expertise and access to critical computing and data infrastructures, the consortium co-develops the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for AI in Science and pilots the long-term coordination structure Resource for AI Science in Europe (RAISE).
Built on a bottom-up scientific leadership model, SCIANCE ensures that priorities emerge directly from research communities. Scientific domain coordinators are supported by leading AI research institutes, major European e-infrastructures, and strong policy and industry networks, creating a unique alliance with the scientific depth, technological capability, infrastructure access, and governance expertise required to advance AI-enabled science across Europe.
