SCIANCE is shaping a coordinated approach to AI-enabled science in Europe. Our work will produce actionable outputs that help researchers, policymakers, and infrastructure providers make evidence-based decisions, align investments, and accelerate scientific discovery.

We map the European AI in Science landscape, cataloging initiatives, infrastructures, and good practices. This evidence base informs research priorities, identifies opportunities for cross-domain collaboration, and guides strategic investment decisions.
The SRIA defines research priorities co-created with scientific communities, ensuring that AI in Science tackles real-world challenges. It includes both domain-specific priorities for individual scientific fields and cross-domain priorities that enable collaboration and shared innovation. All priorities are validated by experts and aligned with EU strategies to maximise impact.
SCIANCE evaluates computing, data, and governance infrastructures to identify gaps and recommend upgrades. The roadmap provides evidence-based, feasible steps to strengthen Europe’s AI-ready scientific infrastructures and ensures that research communities can fully leverage AI capabilities.
RAISE provides a sustainable framework for AI in Science coordination in Europe. Through the Secretariat, Digital Hub, and the RAISE Academy, it ensures continuous community engagement, supports capacity building for policymakers, and maintains alignment with long-term strategic objectives.
